The SPbSUT and Tele2 have agreed to take cooperation to a new level, which implies the organization of joint events and projects. This was announced by the rector of SPbSUT Sergey Viktorovich Bachevsky and the director of the macro-region "North-West" Tele2 Sergey Valerievich Timoshin following the meeting on March 17th.

The negotiations took place in Tele2's St. Petersburg office. The SPbSUT was represented by Rector Sergey Viktorovich Bachevsky, Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Public Relations Irina Albertovna Alekseenko, Vice-Rector for Digital Transformation Anton Alexandrovich Zarubin, Dean of the Faculty of Radio Communication Technologies Dmitry Igorevich Kirik, Head of the Department of Secure Communication Systems Andrey Vladimirovich Krasov and Deputy Director of the Institute of Magistracy Nikolai Nikolaevich Ivanov.

"Mobile operators come to the university, realizing the need for close and systematic interaction with the graduating departments. Companies are interested not only in presenting their opportunities to potential employees and selecting the best candidates among students, but also in bringing a clear message to the university environment about the trends in the development of the industry, about the requirements for professional competencies and personal qualities of graduates! " - said the Rector of SPbSUT Sergey Viktorovich Bachevsky. Combining the efforts of the university and Tele2 as one of the leaders of the telecom industry will make a significant contribution to the training of specialists, he added.

"The agreement on bringing cooperation to a new level will allow us to achieve the maximum synergy effect from our work. We will implement a whole range of joint activities and are confident that they will benefit all participants, " said Sergey Timoshin, Director of the North-West macro-region of Tele2.

He spoke about the graduates of SPbSUT who hold leading positions in the company, and named possible options for cooperation with the university. Among them are thematic lectures for students and teachers, organization of pre-graduate practice in the macro-region "North-West", internships, participation of the company in university events, development of Tele2 infrastructure in the building of SPbSUT, etc.

In December 2020, SPbSUT and Tele2 signed an agreement on cooperation in the development of practical knowledge of students. The partners intend to improve the educational process and jointly participate in the training of in-demand specialists for the digital economy.
