Saint-Petersburg State Agrarian University
Saint-Petersburg State Agrarian University (SPbSAU) is one of the biggest and oldest agricultural universities in the Russian Federation. It was founded in 1904.
The university comprises 8 faculties with about 5 000 students. In SPbSAU there are about 330 international students from 34 countries. There are faculty of agrotechnology, soil science and ecology, faculty of horticulture and food technology, faculty of animal husbandry and biotechnology, faculty of land use planning and farm building construction, faculty of technical systems, service and power engineering, faculty of economics and agricultural organization, faculty of management and development of rural regions and law faculty. SPbSAU offers 65 main educational programmes and 55 additional professional educational programmes.
It trains specialists in 24 bachelor’s programmes, 15 master’s programmes, 23 doctoral degree programmes and 3 programmes of secondary professional education. There is a college (the faculty of secondary professional education) at the university. It offers 3 programmes of secondary professional education: manufacturing and processing of agricultural products, law and organization of social insurance, tourism.
The structure of the university includes 6 sports facilities, 7 research centers and laboratories, 9 student dormitories.
