UNECON the winner of the Russian National Contest RosMolodezh

Project “Novy Mir” (New World)- new opportunities” is getting a grant support from the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs “RosMolodezh” following the results of the Russian National Contest of youth projects which has been participated by educational institutions of higher education. 377 projects from 177 universities of 67 Russian Federation Entities were awarded with grants in the total of 900 000 000 RUR.

School of International Business of UNECON and Department of Disciplinary and Extra-curricular activities applied for the contest as nominees of “Events dedicated to the development of professional skills”. 46 of 290 applications have been awarded with grants. UNECON is getting a grant of 6 200 000 RUR.

The project is tailored to implement an academic programme dedicated to the development of competencies demanded in VUCA-world and has been initiated within activities towards popularisation of fuel and energy complex, energy efficiency and engineering and technical education in 2020.

It has been meant that within the project UNECON will launch a new laboratory and centre of competences “Engineers Upbringing for Fuel and Energy Complex and Mineral resource sector”.  Engineers preparation is going to be carried out by experts and company representatives, who can give a relevant outlook on the sectors, which gives a chance to bring up specialists dedicated to further sectors’ development.

At least 10 educational events have been planned within the project. Besides, it has been decided to organize a final session for young engineers within the “Russian Energy Week 2020”, which is the greatest national forum in the field of energy.
